Polyurethane Protection in the Philippines

Conren ‘Rooftex’ high performance polyurethane waterproofing system is currently being applied at the prestigious new Fairmount Hotel development in Makati City, Philippines.

The Fairmont Makati is due to open in 2010 and will offer 300 rooms and suites, a wide range of meeting and function space including an 8,000 sq.ft grand ballroom, a large outdoor pool, spa and fitness facilities as well as incorporating a variety of restaurants and bars. The development will also comprise the 30-suite luxury Raffles hotel that will enjoy an exceptional central location within the heart of Manila's Makati central business district.

The Rooftex system, which is exclusively manufactured by Conren Limited in the U.K., is being installed by Concrete Solution Builders & Supply (CSBS) and will offer protection to 22,000 m2 of internal ‘wet’ areas and 12,000 m2 of external waterproofing.

Rooftex has been supplied for over 38 years and used on many of the world’s most prestigious projects. The cold applied liquid system cures to form a tough and highly elastomeric finish, which is totally seamless and offers exceptional waterproofing properties.

Following a long standing working relationship with CSBS, Conren International (Export Division) is pleased to announce the signing of an Agency Agreement whereby CSBS will act as an exclusive agent in the Philippines for Conren’s wide range of protective coatings.
