Business in the Community – Care Leavers Pilot Scheme

The Cardiff office of VINCI Construction UK (Stradform) has offered Damien Thomas a three month work placement following two weeks spent with the company as part of the Business in the Community – Care Leavers Pilot Scheme. "It is always unnerving starting work in a new environment, but can be much harder for our candidates who probably have not worked or have little or no experience with the world of work." states BITC. Michelle Davies, Business Developement Manager, will be Damien's mentor during the three month period, during which time he will work alongside all Heads of Department to gain an understanding of the world at work and to inspire a career choice.
